  • Estate agency businesses: registering with HMRC

    On 1 April 2014, HMRC took over the anti-money laundering supervision of estate agency businesses from the Office of Fair Trading. Estate agents previously registered with the Office of Fair Trading will be automatically registered with HMRC.

    Notifying the COLP and COFA to the SRA

    The deadline for nominating the COLP and the COFA to the SRA has been extended. Despite this delay, we understand that it is still the SRA’s intention to make approval decisions on all nominations by the original date of 31 October.
