Maurice Turnor Gardner promotes Colin Senez to Partner in Private Client Immigration Team

Colin Senez

Maurice Turnor Gardner LLP is pleased to announce the promotion of Colin Senez to Partner, following his return from paternity leave. Colin leads the firm’s private client immigration practice. He is known for resolving complex legal questions for high and ultra-high-net-worth clients, often where other advisers have exhausted their options.

Colin joined the firm in 2015 and has been instrumental in building one of its most active and fast-moving practice areas. He continues to focus on high-stakes personal immigration matters.

‘I’ve always wanted to take on the hardest cases, the ones where the legal route isn’t obvious or the client needs a more creative, well-structured approach.’ Colin said. ‘Becoming a partner gives me the chance to keep building a team that clients trust with the work that matters most. It also means I can help shape the way we grow and continue raising the standard for what private client immigration advice should look like, and that is very exciting.’

Returning from paternity leave into a partnership role, he said, gave him a renewed perspective.

‘Becoming a partner after the time I have spent on leave with my son feels incredibly meaningful. It’s something that once felt out of reach, so I’m both proud and amazed to be here now.’

The firm’s immigration team has earned a reputation for its ability to find bespoke, workable solutions for individuals and families with complex cross-border needs. Colin is focused on raising its profile further, alongside MTG’s established reputation in tax, disputes and real estate.

Managing Partner Emma-Jane Weider said: ’Colin has a natural ability to build trust quickly. What often begins as a focused immigration instruction develops into a broader advisory relationship, because clients value his care and judgement. He brings the kind of insight and steadiness that clients rely on, and that we value highly at MTG. His input will be an important part of MTG’s continued growth, and we’re absolutely delighted to welcome him to the partnership.’

Colin emphasised that this recognition reflects the people and teams at MTG.

‘I wouldn’t be in this position without the partners, associates and support staff at MTG. The people here are genuinely exceptional, and I’ve grown as a lawyer because of them.’

His promotion comes at a time of continued investment in the firm’s private client offering, with immigration playing a growing role in the long-term planning needs of internationally mobile families and business owners.
