New global business mobility routes to be implemented on 11 April 2022

Ceris Gardner

The ‘Global Business Mobility Routes’ offer a new category of sponsored routes for overseas businesses seeking to establish a presence in, or transfer staff to, the UK.

The five routes, which will be available from 0900 on 11 April 2022 replace existing visa routes for UK businesses. All the routes allow for dependant applications for partners and children but none of the new routes lead to settlement.

A number of further changes to the UK immigration process will also be introduced in the coming months.
