Ashleigh advises a range of UK and international clients, including individuals, families, fiduciaries and intermediaries.
She is Co-Chair of ConTrA (the Contentious Trusts Association), where she helps lead its international litigation conference. Ashleigh is regularly asked to speak at industry events such as the Private Client Summer School in Cambridge, which she has co-chaired in recent years, and is a member of ACTAPS (the Association of Contentious Trust and Probate Specialists) and an affiliate member of STEP (the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners).
Expertise
Ashleigh advises on the full spectrum of trust and estate disputes, including high-value, multi-jurisdictional and reputationally sensitive matters. She acts where family dynamics, fiduciary responsibilities or trust and estate administration are in dispute.
She regularly advises on trust matters such as breach of trust, trustee removal or directions, rectification or variation of trusts, protector disputes and applications for construction. Her estate practice includes will challenges, Inheritance Act claims, executor–beneficiary disputes, proprietary estoppel and disputes involving land or ownership of property. She also acts in Court of Protection proceedings and professional negligence claims arising from trust or succession advice.
Ashleigh is also instructed to assess or ‘stress test’ trust and succession structures, particularly during transitions or in anticipation of contentious issues. She works closely with MTG’s private client team on the division or winding up of trusts and estates.
Ashleigh has been recognised in the Chambers High Net Worth Guide every year since 2022 and is listed in the Legal 500 and Private Client Global Elite Directory (Excellence category).
