Sophie Mazzier has more than 30 years’ experience in Private Wealth advice and provides both technical and practical professional legal support to the firm.

Sophie’s technical legal and practical support is a valuable resource for the fee-earning staff. She is an excellent communicator and fulfils the Private Wealth team’s know how and training needs. She monitors legal developments and is involved in producing articles and guides and delivering training on technical legal issues for the team and for clients.

Sophie has extensive experience of assisting those advising high net worth individuals on the full spectrum of non-contentious private client issues, including cross-border tax and succession planning issues particularly those with a philanthropic or charity element.

Sophie has contributed chapters to The Global Guide to Trusts, Tolley’s Trust Drafting, the Encyclopaedia of Forms and Precedent and regularly contributes to articles published in the private wealth industry professional journals and for Spear’s Wealth Management Magazine.

In addition Sophie is involved in trainee recruitment and the development and training of trainees and junior solicitors as well as sharing her expertise and experience with lawyers at all levels.

She is a qualified solicitor (October 1991), a member of STEP and became a professional support lawyer in 2000.
